What and Who the Heck is DeGroovy Arts!?
DeGroovy is a spoof on my Dutch last name, deGruijter.
It was a nickname coined backstage during my tap dancing days at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, Canada and is just so much easier to say and spell. It has stuck with me since and I love it! Thank You, McCorduroy.

Me in a nutshell?
I’m a veteran of the musical theatre stage and voice airwaves.
I have a Masters degree in Theatre Performance and Instruction with post graduate certification in Expressive Arts.
I have an extensive teaching resumé and am a Registered Expressive Arts Consultant + Educator
I strive to be personable, detailed, imaginative and inspiring.
I believe in compassion, connection, kindness, and creativity.
