⚘ Senior & Retirees

Classes for Seniors are the BEST!

Regardless of language or physical ability you will find these classes informative, useful and fun. I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of religious groups, seniors homes, Social Planning Councils, day programs, recreation centres and individuals.

I currently offer two successful seniors programs that can be further tailored for your specific group.

Theatre for Daily Living

Socialize, connect and have fun. That’s what this class does while delivering skills taken from the professional theatre training to improve and enhance your daily life!

Strengthen your voice and ability to be heard!  We use a fun array of theatre exercises to source playful spontaneity that connects breath and body. This in turn fortifies your voice, improves your eloquence, and reawakens your posture while delivering a healthy dose of joy.

We will explore theatre games, warm-ups, vocal sounding, speaking, breath control, storytelling, personal connections, gentle stretching and lots more.

This workshop is best delivered over a minimum of three visits. Every group is different. Let’s make a plan that works for you!

All classes are offered in person and online,  and can easily adapt to an outdoor setting with sun/rain protection.

The Pilot Light Series

Flicker or Flame?  Your Inner Spark

This course is best experienced over a 6-week time frame. With foundations firmly planted in Expressive Arts and Spirituality, this series is  ideal for groups who are interested in a more grounded, mindful exploration of the arts to deepen their personal, social and spiritual connections. Many elements of Theatre for Daily Living are employed in this series but the inspiration comes from the desire to nurture a more sacred relationship between soul and spirit – as you understand them.  We will use the arts to reflect, explore, meditate and pray. To celebrate, initiate, congratulate and play. And throughout this deeply satisfying and playful series I encourage all participants to liberate their inner children, release fear, sadness and stress, find an inner calm and connect with one another. Gratitude + Joy are frequent visitors on this journey.

Let your imagination be the spark to ignite your fire, then fan the flames of your soulful purpose. dd
